When our cooker broke a week before Christmas it looked as though we were going to have raw turkey!
We have a range cooker / oven, with a large electric oven. The fan element had not been working since we moved in, but it had been working as a conventional oven.
With only a week to go before Christmas we were a little concerned and were trying to think up alternative plans for Christmas dinner. Fortunately WashCraft Domestics came to the rescue.
After trying to find a local Redditch repairer we found WaschCraft on the net, and gave them a call. They came the next day, explained the alternatives (replace one or both broken elements), had parts in stock for the fan element (though not the conventional element), and were able to quote for the repair and then fix the oven there and then. We only had the fan element fixed, but that is the primary element anyway.
As we didn't have a manual for the oven, they even went a bit further explaining the different settings and setting the clock to the correct time.
The repair cost just under £150, but considering it's a multi-fuel range cooker that would originally cost several hundred pounds (or even £1000 +) it proved ideal for it and saved our Christmas meal.
We are very happy with the repair and are happy to recommend them. So if you are in Birmingham (West Midlands), or Redditch / Worcestershire then give them a try when your next appliance stops working.
