The Raspberry Pi ecosystem is constantly evolving, and the introduction of a larger, official touch-supported screen has opened up entirely new opportunities for makers and developers. For a long time, building a high-performance, interactive setup meant compromising on either storage speed or screen real estate. Not anymore.
In this build, we are pairing the top-tier Raspberry Pi 5 (8GB RAM) with a blazing-fast 1TB NVMe SSD and—the real star of the show—the brand-new official Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 (10.1"). This combination takes the Pi from a humble single-board computer to a true powerhouse coding station, tablet, or dashboard.
We already know the Raspberry Pi 5 is a massive leap in processing power, but pairing the 8GB model with a 1TB NVMe SSD completely changes the experience. Boot times are practically instant, and system bottlenecks caused by traditional microSD cards are a thing of the past. If you are compiling code, running Docker containers, or spinning up a local home server, moving your root filesystem to an NVMe drive is an absolute game-changer.
The newly released Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 gives us a massive 10.1-inch IPS LCD panel with a crisp 1200 × 1920 resolution. It features an anti-glare finish and 10-point capacitive multi-touch, making it significantly more capable than the older 7-inch models.
