Debugging and fixing problems with electronics projects

In this video I explain about some of the issues I faced when designing one particular project. This is a point controller for a model railway based around a Raspberry Pi Pico, including a Wifi connection to a Raspberry Pi with a touchscreen and GUI.

I experienced numerous problems during the project, some related to hardware, some software and some were a result of design decisions made earlier in the project. This is just a part of electronics design and it's just as important to learn from our mistakes as to getting a project working.

I am fortunate to have a digital oscilloscope which is a helpful tool, but it's also possible to do some of the debugging using less expensive equipment such as a multimeter.

I'll be adding new projects based around my own custom circuits in future.
