I have created different model campsites for OO/HO and G-Scale model railways. The OO/HO version is designed as a single model which can be used as a diarama or incorporated into a model railway layout. This includes a full video tutorial on YouTube on how to create it using TinkerCAD.
The G-Scale version is designed for outdoor model railways. The tents are designed in two parts which are 3D printed separately and then put together. As the tents are bigger there is space inside to include and Arduino and to add LEDs to the campfire to have a light-up campfire.
This is the design for a campsite for an indoor OO/HO train set. The model is designed in TinkerCAD and printed using a home 3D printer. The video below provides a step-by-step explanation of how it was created in TinkerCAD.
This is a 3D model of a campsite which I designed and 3D printed. This was done as part of a Scout challenge during lockdown but will be incorporated into my outdoor g-gauge model railway project.
The models are all designed in Tinkercad and then 3D printed using green and brown PLA. The green PLA is from Filo Alfa and is a good likeness to the colour of the scout patrol tents.
The arduino is placed in one of the tents with three LEDs (orange, yellow and red) connected to digital pins 1, 2 and 3 with a resistor.
I'm always working on new projects
